1. In general I like them. I think they are interesting and artistic and I like to see what different tattoos people get.

2. Haha, well I already have one. It's a version of a sugar skull. In Mexico they have a celebration called El Día de los Muertos, The Day of the Dead, in which everyone remembers their loved ones who have died. During that day they make decorative candy skulls and eat them.

A couple of years ago my Grandmother died and I began to think about all the people in my life who had passed away. I wanted to do something special to remember them and anyone else I loved who died so I decided to get a version of a sugar skull with a red rose in its mouth tattooed on my arm.

To anyone else it wouldn't mean anything to them but my tattoo is personal to me.

But I have been thinking about getting another tattoo I just don't know what of.

3. People get tattoos for a few reasons.

One, its a form of personal expression. What better way to represent who you are and what you are like as a person than to have something visually inked into your skin for people to see? People sometimes get meaningful tattoos to show off a part of themselves that otherwise other people wouldn't see.

Two, some people get tattoos for medical reasons. I know alot of breast cancer survivors who have had mastectomies have gotten breast implants and tattoos of nipples that have been removed with the surgery. They do this because they want to feel "normal" again.

Three, I think the majority of people these days get tattoos because it's trendy. It has become a "cool" thing to do and people like to feel that they belong to a group of people. It's sad to me because usually these people just pick any tattoo they think other people will like and that have no personal meaning to themselves at all. People like that are just following the crowd :(

4. Yes I would be friendly with someone who had a full body tattoo...if they are nice. They are no different from people without tattoos so I wouldn't discriminate against them. As long as they are nice to me and others why not be nice to them?

5. Hmmm...I guess because no matter how you explain the reason behind it some people just won't understand and people are afraid of what they don't understand.

I don't know how it is in the rest of the world but in early in America's history there used to be traveling circus' and "freak shows" where people would be put on display for other people. Well back then tattoos were rare and taboo. Alot of the "freaks" at the show where tattooed ladies and men covered with tattoos from head to toe and "normal" people were shocked and amazed at such a weird thing.

Later on in America biker gangs and city gangs started to grow. Usually certain gangs would get certain tattoos to identify themselves. And of course where there are gangs there are hate and violence so people started to associate people with tattoos as being "bad guys".

6. Well it has changed alot since the past and I think tattoos now are generally considered less strange and bad as the were before because so many people are getting them to look "cool" and it's become the thing to do. But there are still people who think tattoos are bad so...I don't know.

Maybe I would make a video with tattooed celebrities and have them explain the personal stories behind their tattoos and show it on tv. People tend to latch on to what celebrities say.

Hope that helps.

1. i personally feel that tattoo is another expression of art and another way to decorate ur body in a more creative way.

2. i think so. for me it will most probably be a line from my fave song and will make it as if it's floating. for now, i think it'll be sort of a reminder for me and its on my skin so literally its a part of me. :P

3. to cherish the loved ones *miami ink influence*, to express their feeling or their artsy sides, or even to get acknowledgement from their peers.. :p

4. why not? it's more likely to be don't judge a book by it's cover sorta things. :P

5. full body tattoo=bad person is a discrimination tat was made by those who can't accept other people's expression in life... take an example on how Indo's gov't, back in the 80s were catching ppl who got a tattoo and threw them to jail cuz that time tattoo=gangster, my dad have to literally ironed his hand cuz he got tattoo there and he's not a gangster. the problem with us human is, we tend to hear the opinion from those who are more superior than us. it may be good but it may be discriminative as well. it's the media, i can say. :P

6. use media to use it. just like how media being used by ciggies and alcohol companies to promote their stuff and gov't use it to *try* reduce the usage of ciggies n alcohol, media can be used to change ppl's opinion towards tattoo s well.

hope that'll do... :)
